Do you want to be part of an exciting mission? At the communications department, we work to continuously increase JU's attractiveness through innovative communication.
We are now looking for an experienced and driven management communicator for a six-month assignment who is inspired to explain and convey Jönköping University's direction and strategy in a simple and inspiring way.
The communications department currently consists of 18 employees, divided into three teams. Since JU has a strong international profile, a large part of both oral and written communication is conducted in English, and in your work, you will write and speak English daily.
Our communicators work closely together to plan and develop the daily work. In your role as a management communicator, you will work alongside the communications director.
You will work with strategic communication that includes work with our vision and strategy as well as international collaborations. You will be involved in preparations for management meetings and conduct interviews with leaders and researchers for publication in both written and moving media. Together with other communicators, you will evaluate information and news, which you will then convey in a comprehensible and engaging way.
To succeed in this role, we see that you are structured and driven. You have an easy time evaluating information and the ability to immerse yourself in topics that you can then convey in an inspiring way. You are also an initiative-taking, independent, and flexible person with good collaboration skills. You are confident in your professional role, analytical, and can handle working at both strategic and operational levels. Furthermore, you have:
- An academic degree or equivalent with a focus on communication or journalism
- Experience in conveying and making knowledge accessible, preferably from research and education
- Good ability to tailor information to target groups
- A burning interest in building relationships and learning new things
- Experience working with web publishing tools and social media
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
We offer a temporary position for six months with a start date according to agreement. We apply collective agreements and individual salary setting.
